Following on from our work on phosphorites, XMS characterised the trace element and REE signature for an existing Standard Reference Material – 120C, Florida Phosphate Rock. This was blended and certified in 1988, at which time fewer trace elements and REEs were identified. XMS has recently characterised this material and produced accurate trace and REE data. Notably, the sum of the REEs in this material is relatively low at c.430 ppm.
